Hud
Hud - peace be upon him - is Hud ibn Shalih ibn Ar Fakhshad ibn Sam ibn Noah, and it is said that he is the son of Abdullah ibn Rabah al-Jarud ibn Ad ibn Aws ibn Erm ibn Sam ibn Noah, and as for Ad, it is a tribe that used to inhabit the Al-Ahqaf located between Oman and Hadramawt in Yemen, and it should be noted that Hud - peace be upon him He is one of the Arab prophets, and they are five prophets Saleh, Hud, Shuaib, Ismail and Muhammad, peace be upon them, If it is said what is the miracle of Mr. Hud? The messengers are sent by God Almighty with a miracle to convince people of their sincerity and to be an argument on the people, so the miracle of Mr. Hud - peace be upon him - is the squeaky wind that God Almighty harnessed for him.
According to genealogists, Hud's lineage goes back to Sam ibn Noah, although they differ in the number of fathers or their names who are between Hud and Sam ibn Noah.
Hud is mentioned in the Holy Qur'an seven times, and his tribe - Ad - is mentioned twenty-seven times, and he is from this tribe that inhabited the Ahqaf, he is the brother of Ad who warned them in the Ahqaf, and the Ahqaf are mountains of sand in Yemen, it is said that they are between Oman and Hadramawt in a country there called: Al-Shahr, which is now in Yemen, and it is an agricultural country
They would see the wind blowing on the idols, breaking the idols and breaking their necks, and yet he would go to a blacksmith to repair his idol.[4] Perhaps this is the reason why Hud reminded his people of the story of Noah - peace be upon him - and the contemplator of the details of the two stories finds that there are many similarities in the events. He warned them not to suffer the same fate. He warned them not to suffer the same fate, as the call of each of them to their people was in the same style and meaning, as well as the reaction of each people towards the call of the prophet sent to them was similar in terms of arrogance and insistence, and each people received punishment from God Almighty for their disbelief, and God saved the two prophets and those with them who believed, and those who contemplate the verses of God Almighty that tell the story of Hud and Noah - peace be upon them - notice this similarity even in the texts of the generous verses.
What is the punishment of the people of Hud?
When the people of Hud (peace be upon him) responded with denial, questioning and accusing him of coming to lead them astray and divert them from the worship of their gods, they deserved the punishment of Allah, as Allah said: “They said, 'You have come to lead us away from our gods, so bring us what you promise us if you are among the truthful ones.” They also challenged their prophet and believed him, so Hud (peace be upon him) only reminded them of Allah's punishment and invited them to worship Him and obey Him. Which is what God Almighty told in His Holy Book, where He said: {He said, “The knowledge is with God, and I will inform you of what I was sent, but I see you as ignorant people.” When they saw the cloud looming in the sky, they thought it was a rain cloud, as He said: {When they saw it looming ahead of their valleys, they said, “This is a show of rain for us, but it is a wind in which there is a painful punishment.” The meaning of the show in the verse is a cloud or a cloud. God Almighty sent them the torment that Hud warned them about in the form of mercy; they thought that the cloud carried rain for them, so they rejoiced and rejoiced for that, but this cloud was the torment that God Almighty sent to them, it did not carry rain for them, but carried the stormy wind, dust and sand for them, destroying them and their homes and leaving no life, and this is what God described in His verses where He said: God Almighty said: {She destroys everything by the command of her Lord, so they became invisible except their dwellings, as we reward the criminal people}, and God said: {And in Aad when we sent upon them the sterile wind* It does not leave anything that it comes upon but makes it like a dormant thing},so God sent upon them the sterile wind.
